One week later!

A whole week has flown by since I wrote last. I had to go back to the hospital a few times after I got sent home so they could continue to run some tests and that was ok I guess...if you like getting your blood drawn a whole bunch and having to wait in long lines!

When I haven't been at the hospital I have been entertaining and sleeping....mostly sleeping. How was I suppose to know that being to adorable and having so many visitors come by the house would be such hard work for me?

Did you think I was kidding when I said all I did for the last week is sleep and entertain people?

Mommy says I sleep just like daddy! With my arms up and hogging all the covers.

My Mimi tells me secrets! I love to hear all the stories she has.

Mommy and I went on several walks this week too! She said she needed fresh air to think, that we had to go see everyone at her work, and that she wanted to show me some special spots in downtown Arlington Heights.

The only way that mommy and daddy have gotten me to fall asleep this week is by putting me on daddy's chest and he rubs my back. It is awesome!!!

Aww....all eyes on me!!!

Mommy says that this is a very special duck and that it is always going to be mine. I thought by special she meant it would do tricks or something but when I got on it ....it just sat there.

Aunt Amy and I had a photoshoot.....look!! I have daddy's chin!

Hospital Visits

I had lots of visitors when I was in the hospital. Mommy made sure that I got my picture with all of them and that she recorded it in my baby book. She says that I can't put the pictures on here though cause I have to ask for permission first and I don't know what that is so I guess I'll just stick with these pictures!

This is the special hat daddy picked out for me at the hospital. After my bath they asked him what hat he wanted and he said this one fit me and my personality the best!

Look at how tiny I am! My little shirt is a newborn shirt and it is still too big!

 Mommy got restless in the hospital--too much to do and too much on her mind. She let me and daddy take a nap in her bed while she walked around thinking.

Daddy is so proud of me! He says that already I am the best little girl ever!!!

Mommy is still having such a hard time believing that I am here.

I'm not sure why mommy and daddy look so tired--I feel so well rested! My only complaint is that I keep getting my blood drawn and the doctors keep running lots of tests.

Uncle Matthew and Uncle Michael came to see me after school one day.  

After spending a while in the hospital we finally got to go home! YAY!! I can't wait to see my bed. Mommy says it is perfect for me and the flowers and butterflies will make me so happy.

Hola!!!

Today is a very big day! I am so excited! I get to meet my mommy and daddy!!! I tricked them Labor Day weekend and said I was coming. Daddy flew in to make sure he would be there but I got scared and changed my mind at the last minute. It is so nice and warm in here that I wasn't sure I wanted to leave. This is the last weekend that daddy's NCOs will let him have off this month so I figured I better just go ahead and let them go to the hospital. This is mommy and daddy waiting for me! We had to get up very early to be at the hospital by 6am!

The nurses were surprised at how much mommy's tummy grew between Labor day and today!

I held the suspence for a while and when I finally decided to come out--I came right out! Mommy only pushed 3 times! Everyone laughed when mommy saw me. She looked amazed! Like she didn't really believe it was me!! It took a while before she got it together!



When the nurses took me away to check me and make sure I was ok I grabbed daddy's finger. He was amazed at how tiny I was. I held on so tight that daddy couldn't help but smile.

Everyone loved holding me because I was so alert!
